The production takes place in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar and supports more than 300 families on the Red Island. Bold colors and lines of hand dyed ikat (jaspe) are integral to this design, as well as the untreated almost raw feeling cotton in vibrant colors. French grenadiers are still attacking as the French Dillon Regiment is moving up through the ditch. It is hard to determine exactly the timelines as it was total chaos and accounts vary.
